Hope Springs, based on a real facility called “Tranquillity Bay”, is the story of a group of teenagers sent, by parents, for correctional behavioural modification. It’s a place where adults dictate every move, what they do, what they eat, what they think! Events take a sinister turn when one pupil decides to spark a rebellion and forms an uprising!

Of Late in the City
In ‘Ballade van die Grysland’
The city is linked in light
Of death and fear, the Bravura heart.
In restless fugues of white
Bands like vapid sirens
In their confines, still chains
Of flightless birds, in jealous dens
That smog with horses on the tide, veins
Purpling broken minds, silvering
The skin of the moon
Without the beauty of the countryside
Certain that once you live and die
Across the railway line,
Through these fire-breaks of the soul.
