Damien Tomaselli, AFDA Durban Lecturer in Cinematography, Image & Data has been selected to represent Bodybuilding South Africa in the upcoming IFBB (International Federation for Bodybuilders) World Bodybuilding Championships that will be held in Kiev, Ukraine from Wednesday, 11 September till Monday, 16 September.
AFDA Film, TV and Performance School (Durban Campus) is pleased to participate for a second year at The Witness Hilton Arts Festival from 12-15 September 2013. We will be situated in the same venue (classroom) in the Crookes Block adjacent to the Tops Spar Long Table. Next to the corridor coming from the Medics and Red Alert Station.

Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, 11 – 22 September
The third Durban production of the year for Durban’s greatest theatrical export, KickstArt, presents a revival of their multi award-winning production of Shirley Valentine by Willy Russell, at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from 11-22 September, starring Lisa Bobbert.

2013 DUT Children’s Festival @ DUT, Courtyard Theatre.

This year they profile renowned Children’s Theatre writer and theatre doyenne Prof. Pieter Scholtz.

The Gay & Lesbian Network will be hosting PMB Got Talent on the 4 October.
Gay & Lesbian Network is to host PMB Got Talent auditions on Saturday 28 September at 10am at the Allan Wilson Shellhole, 5 Paton Ave, next to YMCA. The competition is open all ages and the categories to enter are dance, singing, rapping, poetry and musical instrument. People may enter as a solo or group.

Call for Bursary Applications
The National Arts Council invites post graduate students and registered education and training institutions within the arts – 2014 academic year.
This invitation also extends to students applying for Bachelor of Technology degree in the arts (theatre, dance, craft, literature, music and visual arts) to submit applications for bursary funding.
Applications invited are for individual post graduate studies and block institution bursaries for undergraduate students who will be studying in South Africa during 2014.
Closing date: 13 September 2013
Outcomes available on 08 December 2013
Please note that late and incomplete applications will not be considered at all and no exceptions will be made. Application forms are available from the National Arts Council office or can be downloaded at www.nac.org.za
