Free Resources For South African Filmmakers

If you are coming to the Durban International Film Festival 2016 there are plenty of free film resources that you should be aware of.


In KwaZulu-Natal there is:

KZN Film Commission

The KZN Film Commission helps filmmakers with information, funding opportunities and workshops.

They will be having a Script Development Workshop with Mokopi Shale, writer of Mrs Right Guy.

Date: 23 June 2016

Time 9am – 4pm

The Durban Film Office

They will be having a Micro Budget and Development Fund Workshop. Hear all about this fund and how you could use it.

The 7th Durban FilmMart

They will be having many workshops and discussions at the Durban Film Festival.  Some of them are free.  Visit the main hub at The Elangeni Hotel from 17 June 2016.  There will also be chances for filmmakers to network and learn from others, hear about funding and much more.
