Find out what happens when you jol with Mi Casa and SA Tourism in KZN
This week I was invited to spend some time with the music band Mi Casa and SA Tourism on their #My1stShotLeft campaign which encourages people to enter a competition and post pictures. The whole aim of it is to get South Africans to travel locally. There is so much SA has to offer.
Mi Casa are themselves very positive about travelling South Africa.
“Through this project, we aim to see an increase in South Africans being inspired to have their very own #My1stShotLeft” J Something from Mi Casa commented.
“We also have to realize that Tourism plays a very important role in putting food in people’s mouths”, Mo-T added.
“When more people travel, we get an opportunity to create jobs, from the local tourist guide that takes you to the local chesa nyama to the guy that helps you when you’re about to jump off the Soweto Towers. These experiences do not end with celebrities and media – they’re accessible and affordable to every South African,” Dr Duda concluded.
What I admire about Mi Casa is that they will stop anywhere and help their adoring fans out, from taking a selfie to signing autographs the band helps out wherever they can.
Five lucky winners got to spend some time travelling around KwaZulu Natal with Mi Casa and SA Tourism.
One of the ladies who won has the first name of Fortunate. So I guess you could say she was fortunate enough to win this competition.
The winners had a wonderful time experiencing all that KZN has to offer. From a trip to pheZulu to enjoy Zulu dancing, a tour of snakes, crocodiles and much more.
Later the winners were treated to a luxury boat cruise around Durban Harbour and then out to sea. When you go out to sea you really can experience the beauty of Durban beachfront.
In the evening the winners were invited to a luxury cocktail evening with an exclusive performance by comedian Ndumiso ‘The Roosta’ Lindi and then the main attraction of the evening, an intimate performance by Mi Casa. Guests partied till late having a wonderful time. They also received the new album by Mi Casa ‘Home Sweet Home.’ A wonderful memento.
The next day the winners spent the morning at Moses Mabhida Stadium. If you haven’t been it is highly recommended, there is so much to do, from a Segway around the Durban Beachfront to an adventure swing in the stadium for adrenaline junkies. The winners had a great time and thereafter everyone had a delicious meal at Sand Bar in uMdloti on the North Coast.
Sadly all good things come to an end and Mi Casa said their goodbyes to everyone and the winners all headed home with huge smiles on their faces.
